Kirkenes. View of the Northern Bøkfjorden

On your screens, you can see a part of the 23-kilometer fjord on the north-east of Norway, formed from the winding Varangerfjord. On the shore of the fjord, there is a small town named Kirkenes, located near the border with Russia and Finland.

During the Second World War, Kirkenes survived many of bombings, and there is a well-known museum dedicated to the events of those years in the city.

Locals are accustomed to the severe weather, but the tourists are often taken by surprise. Even so, these places are worth visiting for the rare natural beauty- almost the entire northern coast consists of complex channels and bays, as well as fjords, creating an exceptional natural ensemble.
