Santa Maria Island. St. Lawrence. The Coast

We are on the east side of Santa Maria Island. Portuguese St. Lawrence is located on the coast between a high mountain and the Atlantic Ocean. The camera is installed in the southern part of the resort, where there is a serpentine connecting St. Lawrence with other places on the island.

Tourists who come to local beaches have to drive across the island from the Vila do Porto airport, built in the opposite part of Santa Maria.

Guests of the island, who have spent a considerable part of their vacation budget on the flight tickets, prefer to stay in villas. For example, Casa da Amora is an excellent option for a small group. If you rent it for more than 10 days, the fee will be less than 100 euros per day!

The island is part of the eastern group of the Azores archipelago. There are nine islands, in total, in this huge tourist area of Portugal.
