Pitlochry. Crossroads of Atholl Road and Burnside Road

The camera of the best Scottish Hotel of 2016 (according to Scottish Hotel Awards), The Old Mill Inn, shows one of the exits of Atholl Road to the railway station of the town of Pitlochry. Atholl Road leads to the A9 motorway, linking the northernmost edge of Scotland with the center of the country, Stirling.

At The Old Mill Inn, not only can you spend a night or dine in the restaurant of the hotel, but you can also enjoy live music, which is played several times a week. The large number of hotels in this small British town is due to its rich and interesting life; theater and music festivals are held in Pitlochry, the city hosts the bike tour, Etape Caledonia, and there is a series of mini-performances of “Enchanted Forest” for younger guests.

But the majority of tourists, about forty thousand people, come here for the sake of an international horseback riding competition. The Blair Castle International Horse Trials and the Country Fair are the major events in the world of horse racing in Scotland.
