Pitlochry. Crossroads of Atholl Road and West Moulin Road
The camera at The Old Mill Inn is looking to the west and shows the intersection of two main roads of the city, Atholl Road and West Moulin Road. The first one leads to the northern parts of Scotland, and the second, to the east.
The first turn on the left leads to the Station Road, where the railway station of Pitlochry is located. The building, where the camera is installed, is not only a hotel but also has a number of shops, as well as the Registration of Births, Deaths and Marriages, Calluna Cafe, Scottish Deli and Gregg’s Bakery.
In small British towns, as you can see, they treat their past very gently and try to preserve the architecture in its original form. It is enjoyable to walk along the narrow streets of these cities, where there are small cafes and restaurants and a pleasant provincial atmosphere.
