Subotica. Plava Fontana

This webcam is located in Subotica, one of the northernmost cities in Serbia. It lies on the Serbian-Hungarian border and has interesting culture and history. First, a town in the medieval Kingdom of Hungary, then part of the Ottoman Empire and later of the Habsburg Monarchy, Subotica has had many names and many faces, and only in 1867 it saw the start of the so called “golden era”.

The main attractions of the city are the Green and Blue Fountains, built in 1985 and 2001 respectively. Both are covered with decorative tile made of Zsolnay Porcelain from the Hungarian town of Pecs. Our webcam shows us the Blue Fountain from the direction of the old city prison.
