Bovec. The Main Square

This webcam is located in Bovec, a charming small place situated in the Littoral region of northwestern Slovenia. Bovec lies quite close to border with Italy and looks more like a typical alpine resort with its hasteless and relaxed way of life, than a Slovenian town.

Today, Bovec attracts many tourists with a wide range of sports activities, for adrenaline junkies and those who just want to relax in the nature. Local mountains are over 2000 metres high. Canin Ski Centre, situated on the slopes of Mount Kanin, is the major attraction of the winter season. Cross-country skiing, snow-shoe trips and sledding are available as well. From spring time to autumn Bovec offers great biking, hiking and mountaineering trails, as well as horse trips and golf.

This small town has become very popular as vacation destination both for residents of the country and for tourists from abroad. For example, border with nearby Italy can be reached just in some 15 minutes.

Our webcam opens great view over the very town center with its beautiful main square. The square is surrounded by typical Bovec houses, charming restaurants, shops, hotels and two beautiful Gothic churches.
