Ljubljana. The Triple Bridge

This webcam shows us the very heart of beautiful Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. It is located in its old town, not far from the famous Triple Bridge, which is one of the city’s major attractions.

The Triple Bridge represents a group of three bridges spanning across the Ljubljanica River. Designed by famous Slovenian architect Jože Plečnik, these bridges serve today as one of the central and most important city venues. Concerts, fairs, festival and other events are traditionally organized mostly in this area, which is very beautiful indeed and represents the oldest and medieval part of Ljubljana.

The Triple Bridge connects Prešeren Square on one side and the modern city of Ljubljana on the other. Prešeren Square, located in the historical part of the city, is the central square of Ljubljana. It is the heart of the old town’s pedestrian zone, important tourist site and major meeting point for guests and residents of the city.

From this viewing point we can observe the beautiful Ljubljanica River and numerous river buses with curious tourists on board.
