This webcam is located in Cape Town, one of the largest cities in South Africa. The city lies on the seaway that leads from the Atlantic Ocean to the Indian Ocean. The Cape of Good Hope since the 15th century has been a place where different civilizations met with each other.

Thanks to the perfectly developed tourist infrastructure and mild climate, Cape Town has become one of the most popular tourist destinations of Africa. The port of the city is the largest in South Africa and is a major hub for ships in the southern Atlantic.
