Cape Town. Panorama of Camps Bay
In front of you is Camps Bay, the prestigious area in southwest Cape Town. It is built at the foot of Table Mountain. Another mountain, which can be seen from all points of the area, is Lion’s Head. It rises above the sea in the background of the image. The peak of the mountain is somewhat like the head of a lion, which is why the mountain got its name. The English, in the 17th century, called this mountain ‘Sugar Loaf’. At the top is one of the best viewing platforms in Cape Town, and on the slopes of Lion’s Head, you can often meet paragliders.
Now in Camps Bay, there is elite housing and expensive hotels, but earlier in this place, people hunted for lions, leopards and antelope. In the area are several beaches, where vacationers can enjoy diving, surfing or just sunbathing on the sandy shore of the Atlantic Ocean.
This camera is installed in the Twelve Apostles Hotel & Spa. Despite its remoteness from the main beaches of Cape Town, this five-star hotel is difficult to call affordable because the cheapest double room is a minimum of 600 dollars.
