Andermatt. Gütsch 2,290 m

These places are so beautiful and full of amazing sights, both natural and man-made, that somehow skiing doesn’t seem important. You’ll just want to see Andermatt and its surroundings with your own eyes.

Although, in winter, it is a popular ski resort — and a very good one, like almost any in the Swiss Alps. This is a small village with 70 kilometers of tracks of any level of complexity, as well as virgin fields for freeride.

In the neighborhood is the famous Devil’s Bridge and a monument to the feat of Suvorov’s troops, carved into the rock. There is also the Devil’s Waterfall and the Glacier Express, making its way through Alpine meadows and mountain gorges along picturesque viaducts.
