Engelberg. Rotair Cable Car Station

This webcam is located in the beautiful resort town of Engelberg, in Switzerland.

This quiet and peaceful place is a popular all-year-round winter sports destination. Several Alpine resorts in its surroundings together with a perfectly developed infrastructure and good snow- and weather conditions secure Engelberg a plentiful number of tourists at all times.

Titlis Mountain, captured by the webcam, is a mountain of the Uri Alps. It is the highest summit in the area (over 3000 metres above the sea level) of the central part of the country and a giant ski and snowboard complex. Here visitors can enjoy alpine skiing, cross-country ski run and snowshoe trails in addition to tobogganing and snowtubing.

If you feel like you need a respite from your dear snowboard, take a break and visit the nearby “Klein Titlis” with its wonderful illuminated glacier cave. Shops and restaurants will be at your service as well. Actually, you will need to take a cable car to reach the place and, be sure, that this trip will become a breathtaking and unforgettable experience. The cable way’s last stop is situated at the altitude of 3020 metres above the sea level (in addition to several other stops, at 1300, 1800 и 2428 metres respectively). Cable cars are swivel and guarantee stunning panoramic views the entire journey long.
