This webcam is located on a square in front of the beautiful Einsiedeln Abbey. The monastery and the church are dating back earlier than to the 10-th century, when the village of Einsiedeln was first mentioned.

This place is one of the most important pilgrimage sites and it is visited by 200 000 pilgrims every year.
