Geneva. Panorama of the City
The panoramic camera, located in the Swiss city that hosts many international organizations such as the UN and the Red Cross, is installed on the roof of the TV and radio company, Radio Télévision Suisse, on the banks of the Arve Channel. We have a unique opportunity to see Geneva from, perhaps, one of the better vantage points of the city, at a height of 375 meters.
In this busy part of the city is the City Museum, Université de Genève, a large sports complex and even a military base, Caserne. We are looking at the city center and Lake Geneva.
Despite the fairly dense development, there are many parks and gardens where locals and visitors relax. One of the greenest neighborhoods of Geneva is Saint-Georges — Bati. It is within a few minutes’ walk from Radio Télévision Suisse.
Right below us is a modern landmark of the city, the bridge Hans-Wilsdorf, which crosses the Arve, and which was completed in 2012, finally replacing a temporary bridge connecting the regions of Les Vernets and Plainpalais, which was built in the early 1950s.
