The camera above the Swiss resort of Grindelwald is set at an altitude of 2,167 meters above sea level. It is only 17 meters lower than the Peak of Mount Vierst, on the slopes of which the ski slopes of Grindelwald-First are situated. This complex belongs to the large ski area, Jungfrau, in Interlaken-Oberhasli County.

The rotary camera is installed in a mountain restaurant, next to the station of the First cableway. On the screen, we can see the funicular, Grindelwald, huge mountains behind this village, and other ski lifts of the resort.

The most impressive peaks are Mönch (4,107 meters above sea level) and Eiger (3,970 meters). Both are located south of Grindelwald. You can enjoy the views of the Alpine valley and mountain peaks from the terrace of the restaurant, or from the observation deck, First Cliff Walk by Tissot, which literally hangs over the abyss.

In summer, you can fly on a paraglider from Mount Vierst. Special training is not required because tourists fly together with experienced instructors.

Besides the restaurant on Mount Vierst, Berggasthaus First Hotel is open there. Rooms from € 200 are not the most economical option for a holiday, but you will get an incredible view from the window of your room.
