Vernate. View over the Lake

This webcam is located in Vernate, a small and picturesque place in the canton of Ticino in Switzerland. Local views are stunning and, actually, quite typical for the whole country — lakes with clear and blue water surrounded by the snow-capped Alps.

Italy’s regions of Piedmont and Lombardy lie very close from here. By the way, Ticino is an Italian speaking canton and influence of Italy can be noticed almost everywhere, for instance, in architecture, delicious cuisine and local hospitality.
