Visp. Mount Gersthorn

The Swiss city of Visp is built on the river Vispa. The camera is installed on the west bank of this river and is directed to the north. In the foreground, we can see a gas station, as well as the buildings of Visp.

In the right part of the picture is an apartment house and in the center we can see the tower of Martinsheim, a charitable organization. A large modern railway station is also built in Visp.

Despite the fact that the city is located between the high mountains, Visp is not a resort. Tourists transit it, because the ski slopes are in the neighboring villages. On Mount Gersthorn, which we see in the background, there are no ski resorts.

The height of the mountain is 2297 meters above sea level; it refers to the Bernese Alps and is visible in the district of Visp from almost any point.
