Hat Siao. Bridge over the Yom River

The Yom River, over which this bridge in the city of Hat Sio was built, has a total length of about 600 kilometers. An interesting fact, a large number of major rivers of Thailand have a similar length.

The river is the most full-flowing in the monsoon season, and flooding takes place there every summer. Because of its breadth and depth, the Yom River is navigable and is used for the transportation of goods, timber rafting, as well as the irrigation of fields.

Tourists come to the province of Sukhotkay mainly to see the legendary Si Satchanalai Historical Park, which is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
