Hat Yai. Bridge over the U-Ta Phao Canal
We are in Songkhla, one of the southernmost provinces of Thailand. We can see a bridge across the U-Ta Phao Canal, in the most densely populated city of Hat Yai province. In Hat Yai, there is a large international airport and the country’s largest railway station. These transportation facilities bring tourists here who are heading to the Gulf of Thailand.
On the bridge is a road by which you can reach the provinces located north of Songkhla. Near the bridge there are several attractions, such as the Buddhist temples of Wat Hat Yai Nai and Wat Thawon Wara Ram Hat Yai.
On the opposite side of the bridge (on the eastern bank of the U-Ta Phao Canal) is the administration of the Hat Yai region.
