Sapphaya. Bridge over the Chauphraya River

Pho Nang Dam Tok is located near the border of the provinces of Chai Nat and Sing Buri, Thailand. The province was founded around the city of Chai Nat. It got its name due to the victories in battles in the war with Burma, during the reign of King Rama IV (Chai Nat is translated from Thai as “place of victory”). In addition to hundreds of Buddhist temples scattered throughout the province, tourists come here to see a unique bird park, which is the largest in all of Asia.

We are looking at the Sapphaya Bridge from the territory of Wat Khok Chan Buddhist temple. Right behind this temple is Sanphaya Hospital.

On the opposite bank of the river, within walking distance from the bridge, are the temples of Wat Wang Sakorn and the Grandfather Shrine. Just behind the bridge is a large motorway that connects the northern provinces of Thailand with Bangkok.
