Sing Buri. Bridge over the Chao Phraya River

The province of Sing Buri is located in the center of the country, near Bangkok. We can see one of the bridges in the capital of this province, also called Sing Buri, which in Thai means “city of lions”. There are about 180 Buddhist temples in the city, one of which (Temple Maximus Rivas) is a hundred meters from the bridge.

The Chao Phraya River is not only a source of freshwater fish for the province, but also an important transportation facility for the cities built on the banks of the river. The annual traditional fish festival is also held in Chao Phraya.

On the opposite bank of the river is the Sing Buri Stadium, where the local football team conducts their home matches. Sing Buri Provincial City Hall is next to the stadium.
