Aberdeen. Marischal Square
The camera on Broad Street, in Scottish Aberdeen, displays the Marischal Square, a new multifunctional complex. It was built in the very center of the city and its modern architecture fits perfectly with the historical center of the city, creating a new look. For example, opposite the complex is Aberdeen City Council, built in 1837.
Marischal Square was built in 2017, the cost of the complex is about 50 million pounds. The complex includes offices, hotels, restaurants and stores. Some local residents didn’t want to see a modern building in the center of their city. So, in January 2015, protesters surrounded it like a live chain.
The complex has 10 floors. Marischal Square has gardens and pedestrian areas in addition to office and commercial buildings, many of which are connected. It was also decided to save Provost Skene in the territory of the complex.
