We are going to the island of Guernsey, which is in the possession of the British crown, but it is not part of the UK, it is one of the so-called crown dependencies. The camera is installed in a five-star hotel, The Old Government House Hotel & Spa, in the capital city of St. Peter Port. On the screen, we can see the harbor, port, and several historical sights of the island.

The main port of the island accepts both passenger and cargo ships. According to archaeologists, the first shipments to the island date back to the 3rd century AD. The main monument in the harbor is the Cornet Castle, which you see on the right side of the screen.

The castle was built in the first half of the 13th century and became a serious defensive structure of the island. Naturally, for such a long period of existence, the castle often changed owners; the island was captured by troops of different countries, and Cornet was repeatedly rebuilt and destroyed. Nevertheless, in the castle you can still find a huge number of artifacts, which are centuries old. The castle has several museums, and theatre plays are staged there, in the open air, during the summer.
