The 290-meter pier, in the resort town of Cayucos, is located between the central beach and Estero Bay. The founder of the pier, as well as the whole city, was Captain James Cass, who settled here in 1867. The pier was intended to send cargo to San Francisco and Los Angeles.

The pier, which you see on the screen, has the same length as the original construction of the century before last. The first pier was swept away by a storm, and the modern pier was built on the site of the former, with preservation of the original architecture. The pier is popular with fans of fishing and surfing. You can also fish at night, when the lighting is switched on.

The infrastructure for comfortable rest, toilets and showers, as well as a station for cleaning fish, was built at the pier and next to it. The most lazy fishermen can stop right at the pier in the B & B Hotel On the Beach.
