Fort Lee. George Washington Bridge

We are in the northern suburbs of New York, Fort Lee. On your screen, there is a large traffic intersection behind which is the George Washington Bridge. This bridge is one of the largest in New York and was designed to provide quick access across the Hudson from Manhattan to Fort Lee.

A half-kilometer bridge was built in the 1930s. The original name of the bridge has been preserved, although it might be called “Bridge over the Hudson River”. There have been two reconstructions, in 1946 and 1962, to increase the capacity of George Washington Bridge. Now, it has two levels and a total of 14 lanes.

You must pay a toll when you go from New Jersey to New York, but the way from New York across the bridge is free.

The camera is installed in the 2100 Linwood Avenue building, located in Constitution Park, which is next to Fort Lee Park.
