Tannersville. Camelback Mountain Resort
The American resort of Tannersville is a popular holiday destination in Pennsylvania. It can be safely called the entertainment center in Monroe County because you will find not only 34 ski slopes and several tubing descents, but also visit the Aquatopia indoor water park and Camelbeach Mountain Waterpark (in the summer months).
The name Camelback Mountain or Camel’s Hump describes the shape of the resort. Indeed, if you have a look at Pocono Mountain from afar, like from Confair Memorial highway, you can see some resemblance to the hump of this animal.
Due to the fact that the slopes of the mountain are covered with trees, the trails go along picturesque routes, and the panoramas of surroundings change over to the dense forests of Pocono Mountain.
The use of lifts at the resort costs $70 on an off day, and if you come to Camelback Mountain by 15:00, you can save about $30 on the ticket, which gives you access to 14 lifts.
