Yellowstone National Park. Northern Gate to the Electric Peak

This webcam is located in Yellowstone National Park in the state of Wyoming. It shows us one of the major local attractions, Electric Peak, which is the highest mountain in the northwestern part of Yellowstone. It rises to an altitude 3343 of metres and is the eight-tallest mountain of this nature reserve.

Electric Peak was named after the first ascent, which took place in 1872. There was a lightning strike, which almost killed people when they were at the top of the mountain.

Today, tourists will experience no problem ascending Electric Peak. It is possible to choose between one-day ascent, or stay overnight in a camp located not far from the very summit of the mountain.
