Yellowstone National Park. Old Faithful Geyser
Yellowstone National Park is one of the oldest in the world. It was opened in 1872 and today covers area of about 9000 square kilometers. In addition, it features more than 10000 geothermal springs (about two third parts of the world’s total number). A third part of them are geysers.
Old Faithful is one of the highest erupting geysers located in Yellowstone National Park. It erupts every 35 to 120 minutes with the average height of an eruption about 44 meters.
