The Rotunda of Galerius is also located here, northeast of the Arch of Galerius It is the oldest of churhes in Thessaloniki the most important remained example of a church from the early Christian period.

The Roman Emperor Galerius, which lived in 4-th century, built these two structures as elements of his Thessaloniki palace. Both monuments are included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Building, which could be seen behind the Arch, is the Panagia Dexia Church.
