Villajoyosa. In the Harbour

Villajoyosa, or just La Vila, is a charming coastal town on Costa Blanca at the Mediterranean Sea. Some people believe that it is the true pearl of the whole province. Villajoyosa has managed to keep its authenticity, originality and charming spirit of the fishing village in spite of the tourist inrush.

The town is also famous for its chocolate industry (make a note here, that the souvenir problem does not exist in Villajoyosa) and the local chocolate brand is called “Valor”.

If you all of sudden start feeling bored of the wonderful beach and blue sea, you can amuse yourself with the help of a yacht (maybe even leased, if you have a licence) and make a sea voyage. It you desire, you can as well try local fishing and diving.

The last thing. When the question comes to the sightseeing in La Vila, don’t forget to visit town’s beautiful Gothic Catholic church of the Assumption.
