That is the way the magnificent Matterhorn looks like from the Italian side. Italian resorts are, by the way, the eldest ones in the Alps.

The Italians share the Matterhorn with the Swiss, that is why the Italian town of Breuil-Cervinia lies on its southern slope, while Swiss Zermatt  — on the northern.
