Ferrol is a large port city in Galicia. Ares, which lies on the opposite side of the bay and mountains, is a typical resort town with wonderful beaches within the town borders.
The local coast line is famous for its beauty and picturesque views, where threatening gray rocks alternate with lovely sandy beaches (the last ones are, by the way, very well protected from the sea and strong winds by the small bays).
Some people will say that Galicia is a region of contrasts. If you really want to get an idea about this place in Spain, you should travel all over the region and take a look at its different cities and villages.
