Bad Hofgastein. Schlossalm Station
Schlossalm is one of the tourist areas of the Austrian resort of Bad Hofgastein. In addition to the usual ski slopes, you will find a large children’s playground, hiking trails, mountain restaurants and hotels, areas for mountaineering, as well as amazing stone creatures.
The survey camera at the Schlossalm Station shows us the Sendleiten cableway and the rolling serpentine leading to the top of the mountain (visible when the slopes of Schlossalm are not covered with snow). When the camera is directed to the east, at the foot of the mountain you can see several areas, such as Bad Hofgastein-Anger, Aigen and Gadaunern.
The Sendleiten cableway has a height difference between the lower and upper stations of almost 500 meters. The armchairs of this lift can accommodate up to 4 passengers. Since the lower station is located in the middle of the slope, in the summer months this funicular is useless, but on Schlossalm you can use another all-season lift, Schlossalmbahn.
We are looking at the natural beauty of Salzburg from the terrace of the mountain restaurant, Kleine Scharte.
