Built in 2001, near the central streets of the community, Starjet 1 is one of the newest and most modern cableways in the Austrian resort of Flachau. Comfortable six-seat armchairs, with leather upholstery and protective hoods, are popular with Alpine skiing beginners. The Doppelmayr elevator has a length of 1.5 kilometers and serves only a small area on the slope of the Koglalm mountain.

The difference in height, between the lower and upper stations of the elevator, is 453 meters. Two routes start from the top station in different directions. One of them passes right under the Starjet 1 cableway, and the other brings skiers and snowboarders to the Spacejet 1 station. It doesn’t matter where you go because all the funiculars of Flachau can be used on a single ski pass. The prices of season tickets can be viewed on the resort’s website.

The rotary camera at the bottom of Starjet 1 shows a pullout from the Hermann Maier Weltcupstreck trail, the Piggy Jet training piste, with its separate funicular, as well as restaurants and hotels built right on the mountainside.
