Heiligenblut am Großglockner. Community Panorama

The camera in the eastern part of the Heiligenblut resort shows us a few houses of this village, as well as stunning Alpine landscapes that literally surround Heiligenblut on all sides. Periodically, the camera approaches the main architectural site of the community, the Church of St. Vincent.

The original church appeared in the mountains in 1271. Unfortunately, that ancient structure did not survive to this day, instead we can enjoy a beautiful medieval building with a tall tower, built in the 15th century. It is this tower and the main building of the parish that have become one of the most popular images of Austria on all sorts of postcards and brochures.

One of the most recent elements of the parish is the organ, installed in 1908. Since then, restoration work has been carried out only a couple of times, so tourists can get acquainted with the original walls, altars and other parts of the Church of St. Vincent.

Famous high-mountain road, Großglockner, passes through the community of Heiligenblut. On the screen, you can see not only the cars of the fans of mountain skiing, but also ordinary travelers crossing the Alps along the famous road.
