Oetz. Wetterkreuzbahn Station

We are leaving for Vetterkreuz ski slopes. Let’s begin our trip from Wetterkreuzbahn, built in the Oetz Ochsengarten resort. On the screen, we can see a relatively new ski resort area. Tourists used to ski exclusively on the western slopes of Oetz.

A six-seater chair lift, built in 2011, serves a sector about a kilometer long. It takes skiers and snowboarders only a few minutes to descend from the mountain, and climbing takes not more than 5 minutes, so skiing is interesting and saturated there.

Right under the cableway, in the middle, is a mountain restaurant, Balbach Alm, which periodically appears on the screen. In the summer months, the camera shows a serpentine with ground covering, which leads to the upper station of Wetterkreuzbahn. The same roads are used by cyclists.

In the background, we can see the mountain peak after which the cableway was named. Wetterkreuzkogel has a height of 2,591 meters above sea level, while the upper station of Wetterkreuzbahn is built at an altitude of only 2,272 meters.
