Rangersdorf. A View of the Village from Ederplan

We are looking at the municipality of Rangersdorf from the height of two kilometers above sea level. Here, on the top of Mount Ederplan, is the camera of the department of tourism for the village, which you can see at the foot of the mountain.

There are a lot of mountain peaks in this part of the Alps: Zelinkopf (2597 meters), Ankogel (3252 meters), Sonnblik (3106 meters) and, in good weather, the peak of Hohalmshpittse can be seen in the background, which is 3360 meters above the sea level.

The camera is set on the border of the federal states of Carinthia and Tirol. Tourists can see the valley of the village of Rangersdorf and huge mountains in its background, as well as the city of Lienz, with its ski resorts.

A challenging walk about mountain tops, such as Ederplan, can be spoiled by the cloudy weather. On such days, you can only see thick fog hanging over the ground between high mountains.
