St. Anton am Arlberg. Gampen Station

Gampenbahn is the first stage of the climb to the high ski trails for any tourist who comes to St. Anton am Arlberg. We have successfully traveled this stage and found ourselves at the top station of this cableway. There are several training trails here, as well as the Gampen Restaurant.

You can get to the station not only from the center of the community but also from the northern districts of St. Anton am Arlberg, where, in 2000, a modern cabin-type cableway, Nassereinbahn, was built. Rising in panoramic cabins is much more comfortable than in the open armchairs of Gampenbahn.

Beginners can get to a height of 1,860 meters above sea level and begin their descent from Gampen Station. More experienced skiers prefer to climb higher, to Mount Kapall, on the cable car, Kapallbahn. There, the tracks have an increased level of complexity and a starting point at an altitude of 2,328 meters.

You can see not only the cabins and armchairs arriving and leaving the station, but also the large Gampen Restaurant. If you see skiers on the screen, on the summer terrace, then most likely they are enjoying the Alpine scenery, while eating the classic Tyrolean strudel. With capacity for 350 people, the restaurant holds live music every Tuesday and Thursday evening.
