The Canadian city of Calgary is, of course, associated with the local legendary hockey team, Calgary Flames. If we move along 14th Avenue to the east and cover 2.5 kilometers, we will be in front of the Pengrowth-Saddledome Arena, where the NHL team plays their home games.
But now, we are at the intersection of 14th Avenue and 8th Street, where there are also many sights. In walking distance from the camera is the Calgary Opera, Full Gospel Church, and Barb Scott Park.
We are looking from Best Western Plus Suites Downtown. This is a great option for accommodation in Calgary, if you value comfort and proximity to the city center. A luxury double room costs 150 Canadian dollars.
As mentioned above, 14th Avenue leads to the hockey arena when moving east, as well as to Royal Sunalta Park, if you move along the street to the west. Connecting the Bou River Embankment with Elbow Park is 8th Street. On the opposite side of the intersection, you can see BIG John’s Pizza and Donairs, and Dairy Queen Grill & Chill. They are popular with residents of the Beltline district.
