Rovinj. Marshal Tito Square

We can see a square in the Croatian resort town of Rovinj. It is unusual because it is located right at the embankment. The main city square is named after Marshal Tito, President of Yugoslavia, who ruled the country in the post-war years.

In the square, several architectural styles have come together in amazing ways, as buildings here are constructed in Venetian, Italian, and Austrian styles. A real symbol of Rovinj was the city clock of the mid-19th century. It can be seen on the tower, on the left side of the image. The fountain in the center of the square appeared only in 1959, but since then, it has become associated with this seaside city of Croatia.

On the other side of the square is the museum of the history of the city, and of course a huge number of hotels and cafes. Just behind the building, which you see to the left, is another square, G. Pignaton.

On the water in the summer months, you can see a huge number of pleasure craft. All of them are on one of the main marinas of Rovinj.
