Zagreb. Tomic Street. Funicular

One of the smallest funiculars in the world is in the Croatian capital, Zagreb. Its length is 66 meters. It was opened in 1893 and, since then, has not changed, except for the replacement of steam engines with electrical.

Two trailers transport passengers from the Upper Town (Gornji Grad) in the Lower (Dolní) town and back. The lower station is on Tomic Street, which you see now. The mall street is filled with restaurants and is connected to Ilica, the longest shopping street in Zagreb.
