We can see the square of the Czech town of Bystřice pod Hostýnem. It was named after Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk, the first president of the Czechoslovak Republic. There are a lot of sites across the country named after him.

You can hardly find tourists there, as there are just a few attractions, such as the church of Sant Egidio, the pillory, and the town hall, which was built in the sixteenth century and reconstructed in 1842.

Bystřice pod Hostýnem, built in Baroque style in the middle of the sixteenth century, is much more interesting. It is located just behind the city hall, which you can see on the screen.

But, the main attraction of the city is the famous Basilica of Holy Hostýn, built in the eighteenth century, in the southern part of the city on the hill of Hostýn. The hill of Hostýn is one of the main places of pilgrimage in Moravia.
