Porvoo. The Central Square
We are now observing the very heart of Porvoo, which is one of the oldest cities in Finland. The city was founded in the end of the 13th century and until the beginning of the 18th century was a part of the Kingdom of Sweden. We can now see the central square of Porvoo with its Bus Terminal.
This southern Finnish city attracts tourists with its beautiful waterfront architecture, including houses and small bridges over the Porvoo River.
On the opposite side of this square, behind the buildings seen in the background, lies Linnankoski park, tennis courts, a large stadium and several other important sport objects.
