Beynes. Airport
The commune of Bane, as well as many villages around Paris, has a very rich history. The first mentions of this location date back to the XII century, when the house of lords Maison de Montfort was built.
We can see a local airport, in which there is an Air Club, where anyone can enroll in flight training courses. The slogan of Aéronautique de Beynes center is the phrase “Glider is pure passion!”
Beynes – Thiverval Airfield appeared in 1930. At the same time, the first glider hangars appeared there, on the basis of which paragliding courses were started in the aviation club.
A grass runway, which is 1 kilometer long and 80 meters wide, is directed from the north-west to the south-east.
If you go through the airport parking lot, just 50 meters away, you can see the local restaurant Le Vol à Voile, which serves traditional French cuisine.
