You can see Hannover-96 football arena, built near Lake Mash in the middle of the last century. Initially, it was called the Stadium of Lower Saxony and was one of the world’s largest arenas, with capacity of 86,000 spectators.

Since the beginning of the 1980s, the stadium has become the largest concert ground in the north of Germany. The legendary Rolling Stones performed there. The tradition of holding concerts at the updated AWD-Arena was restored in 2006.

The reconstruction was carried out during the preparation for the World Cup in Germany in 2006. The capacity of Hanover stadium decreased to 43,000 people and received another name, The Stadium of Hanover, FIFA World Cup.

The artificial lake of Mash, which you can see in the foreground, is a popular recreation area with the local residents. There are parks, sports and concert grounds around it. The nearest metro station is within walking distance.
