Oberstdorf. Entrance to the Town
The view of Oberstdorf, from the northern entrance to the town, shows us the mountain peaks of the Bavarian Alps. The town itself is hidden behind nearby buildings and tall trees. Of Oberstdorf architecture, we can only see the ski jump of Erdinger Arena, on the left.
From the south, the town is hidden by the Himmelschrofen Mountains, Schattenberg and other Alpine slopes, many of which are popular with hikers. In contrast to the center of Oberstdorf, there are still large open spaces and fields on its outskirts.
In the northern part of the town, where the camera is installed, in addition to the hotels and restaurants that are usual for a resort town, there is a sports stadium and a tennis court. Most of the guests of Oberstdorf come from the north because there is a railway leading to the town. From the southwest of Austria, you can travel along Austrian highway 201, which merges with German highway 19.
