Oberwiesenthal. Fichtelberg Descent
We can see one of the slopes of the German resort of Oberwiesenthal. Lovers of unhurried and calm downhill skiing or snowboarding come here because the maximum difference in altitude is only 300 meters, and all the routes are simple, without complex elements and turns.
Between the main slopes leading to Oberwiesenthal is a ski jumping board, Fichtelbergschanze. The camera is installed next to Lift D, at an altitude of 1,008 meters, which is the middle of the slope of Mount Fichtelberg, to the top of which several lifts run. On the south side of the mountain, there is a natural reserve, Fichtelberg-Sudhang, where tourists relax in the summer season.
The ski resort is part of the InterSkiregion association, which offers a single subscription to many ski lifts, including those located in the neighboring Czech town of Klinovec. A week-long ski pass for the whole family, during the winter season, costs 415 euros.
