This is another camera in Germany. We are at a height of almost 2.5 kilometers. The top of Funtenzeetauern offers excellent views of Königssee.
The oblong mountain lake stretches along the eastern slope of Mount Watzmann. Königssee is one of the cleanest lakes in the country and attracts a lot of scientists and tourists. Scientists explore the flora and fauna here, and tourists spend their holidays in hotels on the shores of the lake.
You can travel by pleasure boats across the lake. The piers are located near the village of Königssee and near churches, meadows and pastures on the banks of the lake.
The biggest part of the lake is in Berchtesgaden National Park. The park has an area of 208 square kilometers and a myriad of hiking trails, including those situated next to Lake Königssee.
