The south camera on top of the ski resort of Jennerbahn is directed towards the Steinernes Meer mountain ridge. This ridge is partly owned by Germany, partly by Austria. The ridge has a set of vertices (more than 60 registered) with beautiful panoramic views of both the land of Bavaria and Salzburg. The highest peak of Selborne has a height of 2655 meters above sea level.

In these mountains, more than 800 caves have been discovered, some of which have not even been investigated yet. Both tourists and scientists are interested in the Steinernes Meer. One of the most famous caves is Kolkbläser-Monsterhöhle-System, which is a whole system of different courses with a total length of over 40 kilometers.

If you are going to travel on the outer part of the ridge, then you must use one of the mountain huts built on different slopes of the Steinernes Meer. Here you can always replenish stocks of food, have a rest or tidy up your gear.
