Warnemünde. The Coast

This webcam is located in Warnemunde, a coastal resort in northern Germany. The city lies on the shore of the Baltic Sea and is one of the popular destinations of domestic tourism. Warnemunde is situated in the northern part of the city of Rostock, where the River Warnow flows into the sea.

Our webcam shows the beautiful wide local beach with high cane chairs and white fine sand. This place usually visited during the weekends, while the rest of time this area remains quite empty for tourists. The Germans prefer to spend their longer vacations abroad and in warmer regions.

Along the coastline stretches the local beach promenade. This street is full of cafes and restaurants and borders with gardens of green and blooming Parkstrasse. In the end of the embankment can be seen the building of the restaurant complex “HELLAS”. The roof of this complex can be seen from all over the city thanks to its unique form, reminding waves on the sea. A beautiful lighthouse and a children’s playground with merry-go-round and swing is situated on the square right in front of the complex.
