Cortina d'Ampezzo. Mount Tofana

Tofana is a ski resort in the Italian commune of Cortina d’Ampezzo. Its name was given after the mountain. We are at an altitude of 2,470 meters above sea level, at one of the upper stations of the cableway of the resort.

The slope of Mount Tofana, as well as the restaurant Capanna Ra Valles, are shown by the rotary camera. Do not forget that we are in Italy, so the main dish in this restaurant is pizza. Capanna Ra Valles has an excellent viewing terrace, where you can dine surrounded by the natural beauties of Italy.

The highest peak of the mountain group Tofana-Tofana di Mezzo, is located at an incredible height of 3,244 meters. It is interesting that during the Second World War, on the high mountain slopes, there were fierce battles between the forces of the Italian and Austrian armies. In times of peace, Tofana also attracted attention because five of the six ski competitions of the 1956 Winter Olympics were held here.

There are 47 kilometers of trails — 6 black, 12 red, 13 blue and 6 very simple (green) ones.
